అక్కినేని చిత్రాలు...మేలిమి ముద్రలు


తెలుగు చలనచిత్ర చరిత్రలో లెజెండ్ ఏఎన్నార్. 255 చిత్రాల కథానాయకుడు(‘మనం’ మినహాయించి). వాటిల్లో 25 మేటి భూమికల  అభినయ విశేషాలను తెలిపే చిరు ప్రయత్నమిది.

భరణీ సంస్థ నిర్మించిన తెలుగు, తమిళ భాషల్లో తొమ్మిది చిత్రాల్లో నటించారు అక్కినేని. చిత్రత్రయం లైలా-మజ్ను, విప్రనారాయణ, బాటసారి తన నట జీవితంలో చిరస్మరణీయమని పలుమార్లు ఆయనే చెప్పారు.

1. లైలా మజ్ను (1949): అక్కినేని హీరోగా నటించిన పదవ చిత్రం. సమ వయస్కురాలైన భానుమతి కాంబినేషన్‌లో విషాద ఛాయలున్న ఖయస్ నటనలో పరిణతి కోసం, హీరోలో ఉన్న బిడియం పోవటం కోసం వీరిద్దరినీ బీచ్‌లో షికార్లు చేయమని, చనువు ఏర్పడటంతో నటన బాగుంటుందని ప్రోత్సహించారు దర్శకులు రామకృష్ణ. ‘పలుకవే నా ప్రేమ సితార’ అంటూ లైలాతో తిరుగుతూ గీతం పాడినప్పుడు ఎంత హుషారుగా ఉంటాడో, ఆమె మరొకరిని వివాహమాడి ఇరాక్‌కు వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఆమెను జనానా వద్ద చూసి ఖిన్నుడై, ‘జీవన మధు భాండమే పగిలె తునాతునకలై’ అని విషాద భావాలు అంత గొప్పగా పలికించారు.

 2. విప్రనారాయణ (1954): ‘తార్కిక భావాలున్న నువ్వు భక్తుడైన విప్రనారాయణ పాత్ర ధరించడమేమి’టని విమర్శించిన దర్శకులు కె.వి.రెడ్డి అంచనాలను తారుమారు చేస్తూ ఆనాటి విప్రనారాయణుడు అక్కినేనే అన్నంత ఘనంగా ఆ పాత్రను పోషించారు. శుశ్రూషలు చేసిన దేవదేవి నయగారాలకు వివశుడై, ‘మధురమధురమీ చల్లని రేయి’ అని ఆనందాన్ని వ్యక్తం చేసిన విప్రనారాయణుడు... తనపై మహారాజు దొంగతనం నేరం మోపినప్పుడు, ఈ శిక్ష తనకు తగినదేనని పశ్చాత్తాపపడినప్పుడు పాత్రలో లీనమైపోయారు.

 3. బాటసారి (1961): శరత్‌చంద్ర బెంగాలీలో రాసిన ‘బడదీది’ ఆధారం. సురేంద్ర జమీందారు బిడ్డ. ఉన్నత చదువులున్నా లోకజ్ఞానం అంతంతే! చిత్రమంతా కలిపి కేవలం రెండు మూడు పేజీల డైలాగులే! అవి కూడా పొడి పొడి మాటలు. తనవల్ల తన ఆరాధ్య దేవత మాధవికి అన్యాయం జరిగిందని తెలిసినప్పుడు ఆవేశం పతాక స్థాయిని చేరి, ఆమె ఒడిలో తలదాల్చి, తన మనసును ఆవిష్కరించి అంతిమ శ్వాస విడిచిన సన్నివేశం అమోఘం.

 4. పౌరాణికం - భూకైలాస్ (1958): అక్కినేని పౌరాణికాల్లో ‘భూకైలాస్’లోని  నారద పాత్ర యెన్నదగినది. శివభక్తి పరాయణుడైన రావణబ్రహ్మను నిలువరించి, హెచ్చరించి, లోకానికి మేలు చేసే విధంగా రచయిత మలచిన, నారద పాత్రలోని యుక్తి, ఛలోక్తి అన్నిటినీ రసవత్తరంగా తన నటనలో చూపారు.

 5. జానపదం- సువర్ణసుందరి (1957):  ‘సువర్ణ సుందరి’లోని జయంత్ పాత్ర సాదాసీదా అంటారు అక్కినేని. కానీ ఎన్నో షేడ్స్ ఉన్నాయి.  తొలి దశలో అందాల రాకుమారుడు. సువర్ణ సుందరిని  దివి నుంచి భువికి రప్పించిన శృంగార నాయకుడు. దుష్ట త్రయానికి (కైలాసం, చాదస్తం, ఉల్లాసం) బుద్ధి చెప్పిన ధీరోదాత్తుడు.  అంజలీ సంస్థ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని హిందీలో నిర్మించినప్పుడు అక్కినేనిని బలవంతంగా ఒప్పించారు నిర్మాత. సూపర్ హిట్టయిన ఆ చిత్రం అక్కినేని నట జీవితంలో ఏకైక హిందీ చిత్రంగా నిలిచిపోయింది.

 6. జయభేరి (1959): జానపదం అనగానే మంత్రాలు, మాయలు, కత్తియుద్ధాలు అనే నానుడిని పూర్వ పక్షం చేస్తూ సంగీత, సాహిత్యాలతో కూడా జానపదం తీసి రంజింపచేయొచ్చు అని నిరూపించిన చిత్రం ‘జయభేరి’. సంగీత విద్వాంసుడు కాశీనాథ్ పాత్రకు ప్రాణప్రతిష్ట చేశారు అక్కినేని. ‘రసికరాజ తగువారము కామా’ పాట చిత్రీకరణలో, చరణదాసి సంగీత ఆరోహణ అవరోహణ విన్యాసాలకు తగ్గట్టు పెదవుల కదలిక కోసం ఇంటివద్ద అద్దం ముందు నిలబడి రెండు రోజులు ప్రాక్టీస్ చేశారు.

 7. చారిత్రకం- అనార్కలి (1955): మొగల్ యువరాజు సలీం సామాన్య నర్తకి అనార్కలిని ప్రేమించి, తండ్రితో యుద్ధానికి తలపడ్డ సన్నివేశాల్లో శృంగారం, ఆవేశం సమపాళ్లలో అభినయించారు. అక్బరు చక్రవర్తి స్వయంగా మరణశిక్ష అమలుపరచటానికి సిద్ధపడ్డ సన్నివేశంలో ‘బలహీనులు కాకండి జహాపనా’ అంటూ సెంటిమెంటుతో తండ్రిని కలవర పరచిన సన్నివేశంలో ఎస్.వి.రంగారావుకు దీటుగా నటించారు అక్కినేని.

 8. తెనాలి రామకృష్ణ (1956): చతుర చమత్కార కవి తెనాలి రామకృష్ణుని తన అభినయంతో ఆంధ్ర ప్రేక్షకులకు అందించారు అక్కినేని. తెలివిగా రాజసభలో ప్రవేశించి, క్లిష్టమైన ఏనుగుల పంపకాన్ని యుక్తితో పరిష్కరించటం, కృష్ణసాని ద్వారా రాయలకు కలగబోయే ముప్పును ఆడ వేషంలో పరిష్కరించటం, ‘మేక తోకకు మేక’ అంటూ ముప్పతిప్పలు పెట్టటం, పతాక సన్నివేశంలో తోటమాలి వేషంలో ‘చేసేది ఏమిటో చేసెయ్యి సూటిగా’ అంటూ పాడి చక్రవర్తి బాబరు మెప్పు పొంది రాజ్యాన్ని రక్షించటం - ఈ సన్నివేశాల్లో తెనాలి రామకృష్ణుని సాక్షాత్కరింపజేశారు.

 9. మహాకవి కాళిదాసు (1960): అజ్ఞానుడైన కాళునిగా ‘ఛాంగుభళా వెలుగు వెలగరా నాయనా’ అంటూ ఎంత అమాయకంగా నటించారో... దేవి కటాక్షంతో విజ్ఞాన దీపం వెలిగి, శ్యామలా దండకం చదివిన పండితునిగానూ ఓహో అనిపించారు. మధ్యప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం ‘కాళిదాస కౌస్తుభ’ పురస్కారంతో అక్కినేనిని సత్కరించింది.

 10. అమరశిల్పి జక్కన (1964): ‘ఈ నల్లని రాళ్లలో ఏ కన్నులు దాగెనో’ అని కీర్తించి, నర్తకి మంజరిని ఆరాధించి, పెళ్లాడి, ఆ తర్వాత మహారాజు ఎదుట నర్తించినందుకు అనుమానించి, దూరంగా వెళ్లిపోయి, కాలం గడిచాక కుమారుడి చేతిలో శిల్పిగా ఓటమినంగీకరించి, చేతులు నరుక్కుని పరితపించిన జక్కనగా ఆ పాత్రకు ప్రాణం పోశారు.

 11. చాణక్య-చంద్రగుప్త (1977): ఎన్టీయార్ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని తలపెట్టి, తను చాణక్యుడిగా వెయ్యాలని, అక్కినేని చంద్రగుప్తునిగా నటించాలని తెలుపగా, అక్కినేని తనకు చాణక్యుడు కావాలని పట్టుబట్టారు. మెట్ల మీద నుంచి చాణక్యుని నవనందులు పడదోసినప్పుడు శిగ ముడి విడివడగా, వారి అంతం చూస్తానని శపథం చేసిన సన్నివేశంలో పింగళి రాసిన సంక్లిష్ట సమాసాలను భావస్ఫోరకంగా పలికి అందానికి తగ్గట్టు కళ్లల్లో చండ్ర నిప్పులు కురిపించిన తీరు అపూర్వం.

 12. నవలా చిత్ర నాయకుడు- దేవదాసు (1953): భారతీయ భాషల్లో ఓ డజను ‘దేవదాసు’లు రాగా, అగ్రగామిగా నిలిచింది అక్కినేని ‘దేవదాసు’.  దేవదాసు పాత్ర పోషణలో మద్యం మత్తుతో కళ్లు మూతపడుతుంటాయి. ఈ ఎఫెక్టు కోసం ఆ సన్నివేశాలను రాత్రి వేళల్లో చిత్రించారు. నాగేశ్వరరావు పెరుగు అన్నంతో సుష్టుగా భోంచేసి షూటింగ్‌కు వెళ్లేవారు. నిద్రమత్తుతో కళ్లు తూగిపోయేవి. మైండ్‌ను కంట్రోల్‌లో ఉంచుకుని నటించటంతో ఆ సన్నివేశాలు  రాణించాయని తెలిపారు అక్కినేని.

 13. అర్ధాంగి (1955): ‘స్వయంసిద్ధ’ బెంగాలీ నవలకు తెర రూపం. జమీందారు పెద్దకొడుకు రాఘవేంద్రరావు పెళ్లాం మెడలో తాళి కట్టేటంతటి అమాయకుడు. ఈ సన్నివేశాల్లో అమాయకత్వం... అర్ధాంగి రాధ స్వయంకృషి వల్ల మార్పు చెందాక పెద్దరికం... పాత్రలో వచ్చిన మార్పుల గ్రాఫ్‌కు తగ్గట్టుగా బాలెన్స్‌డ్‌గా నటించారు.

 14. పూజాఫలం (1964): మునిపల్లెరాజు ‘పూజారి’ నవల ఆధారం. బి.ఎన్.రెడ్డి- అక్కినేని కాంబినేషన్‌లో ఏకైక చిత్రం. లోకజ్ఞానం లేని కథానాయకుడు మధు. తన జీవితంలోకి ప్రవేశించిన ముగ్గురమ్మాయిలు వాసంతి (జమున), సీత (సావిత్రి), వేశ్య నీలనాగిని (ఎల్.విజయలక్ష్మి). వారివల్ల తన జీవన విధానంలో వచ్చిన మార్పును స్పష్టంగా చూపారు. క్యారెక్టరైజేషన్ అనే దానిని అభినయం ద్వారా నిర్వచించారు.

 15. డాక్టర్ చక్రవర్తి (1964): కోడూరి కౌసల్యాదేవి ‘చక్ర భ్రమణం’ నవలకు తెర రూపం. పాఠకుల సూచన మేరకు అన్నపూర్ణ సంస్థ వారు పాత్రధారులను ఎంపిక చేశారు. చక్రవర్తికి పూర్వాశ్రమంలో ప్రేమించిన శ్రీదేవి దూరం కావటం, పెద్దలకిచ్చిన మాట ప్రకారం నిర్మలను పెళ్లాడి అశాంతికి లోనవడం, చనిపోయిన చెల్లెలు సుధను నవలా రచయిత్రి మాధవిలో చూసుకొని మురిసిపోవటం - ఫలితంగా అపార్థాలు; మానసిక సంఘర్షణను సంయమనంతో నటించి నట చక్రవర్తి అనిపించారు.

 16. ప్రేమనగర్ (1971): ఇదీ కోడూరి కౌసల్యాదేవి నవలే. ‘అనుభవించు, సుఖించు, తరించు’ అనే ఉమరఖయ్యూం ఫిలాసఫీని నమ్మిన కథానాయకుడు కల్యాణ్. లత రాకతో అతని జీవితం ప్రభావితమౌతుంది. ఒకానొక సందర్భంలో ఆమె ఆత్మగౌరవాన్ని దెబ్బతీస్తాడు. ప్రేమ మందిరాన్ని నిర్మించి, అందులో ప్రేయసిని ప్రతిష్టించి, ఆ ప్రేమ భగ్నమైనప్పుడు ‘ఎవరి కోసం ఈ ప్రేమ మందిరం’ అని విలపిస్తాడు. ఆత్రేయ రచనతో దృశ్యకావ్యంగా నిలిచింది.

 17. విభిన్న భూమికలు- రోజులు మారాయి (1955): అభ్యుదయ భావాలు గల రైతు నాయకుడు వేణు పాత్రలో పల్లెటూరి నుంచి వచ్చిన అక్కినేని సహజంగా ఒదిగిపోయారు.

 18. ఇలవేలుపు (1956): దర్శకులు ఎల్.వి.ప్రసాద్, వైద్యం పొందిన ప్రకృతి ఆశ్రమం నేపథ్యంలో రూపొందిన కథ. శేఖర్ ఆశ్రమవాసి అయిన శారదను ప్రేమిస్తాడు. విదేశాలకు వెళ్లి తిరిగి వచ్చేసరికి తన తండ్రి శారదను పెళ్లాడటం, ప్రేయసిని తల్లిగా చూడాల్సి రావడం, తర్వాత లక్ష్మిని పెళ్లి చేసుకోవటం, భర్తను ఆమె అనుమానించడం, మానసికంగా సంఘర్షణకు లోనైన శేఖర్ పాత్ర అక్కినేనికి అగ్నిపరీక్ష. తట్టుకుని నిలబడ్డారాయన.

 19. భార్యాభర్తలు (1961): నెగెటివ్ టచ్ ఉన్న కథానాయకుడి పాత్ర ఆనంద్. అమ్మాయిలతో ఆడీపాడీ... ఆనంద్ కోరి, వెంటాడి, శారదను పెళ్లిచేసుకుంటాడు. తొలిరాత్రి ఆమె నుంచి ఎదురైన ప్రతిఘటనకు బదులుగా ఆమెలో మార్పువచ్చేదాకా వేచి ఉంటాడు. మబ్బులన్నీ తొలగిపోయాక, హత్యానేరంపై జైలుకు వెళ్లి భార్య సహకారంతో బయటపడతాడు.

 20. ఇద్దరు మిత్రులు (1961): కథానాయకుని పరంగా తొలి ద్విపాత్రాభినయం. ఆస్తీ అంతస్తూ ఉన్నా శాంతి లేని జమీందారు అజయ్‌బాబు. ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నా పేదరికంతో అల్లాడే విజయబాబు. ఈ రెండు పాత్రల వైవిధ్యాన్ని సున్నితంగా ఆవిష్కరించారు. రాజేశ్వరావు అందించిన సుమధుర సంగీతం ఈ చిత్రానికి అండగా నిలిచింది.

 21. మూగమనసులు (1964): ఆదుర్తి అద్భుత సృష్టిగోదావరిపై పడవ నడిపే సరంగు గోపి. అమ్మాయిగారంటి సావిత్రికి గోపీపై ఉన్నది ఆరాధనా? ఆప్యాయతా? ఆకర్షణా? వీటన్నిటనీ కలగలిపిన విలక్షణ భావమా?  అక్కినేని, సావిత్రి పోటీపడి తెరపై పండించారు. అందుకే తెలుగువారి సజీవ స్రవంతిలో ‘గోదావరి’లా మిగిలిపోయిందీ చిత్రం.

 22. దసరాబుల్లోడు (1971): పులి వేషాలు, నెమలి వేషాలు, బావా మరదళ్ల సరదాలు, సరసాలు, ప్రేయసీ ప్రియుల చేలగట్ల ప్రణయరాగాలు, సెంటిమెంట్లు... ఇవన్నీ కలగలిసిన పల్లెలూరి కుటుంబ కథాచిత్రంలో కీలకమైన గోపీ పాత్ర ద్వారా సగటు ప్రేక్షకుడికి దసరా బుల్లోడు ఎలా ఉంటాడో చూపించారు దర్శక నిర్మాత వి.బి.రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్.

 23. ప్రేమాభిషేకం (1981): దేవి ప్రేమను దక్కించుకోవటం కోసం వేశ్య జయంతితో కలిసి నాటకమాడిన రాజేష్, దేవి ప్రేమ సఫలమయ్యాక, క్యాన్సర్ కారణంగా ఆ దేవిని దూరం చేసుకోవటానికి జయంతితో కలిసి మరో నాటకమాడటం - అద్భుతమైన దాసరి రూపకల్పన రాజేష్ పాత్ర.

 24. మేఘసందేశం (1982): దాసరి మరో అద్భుత సృష్టి. కవి రవీంద్ర తనలో చైతన్యాన్ని కలిగించిన నర్తకి పద్మకు చేరువై, భార్య పార్వతికి దూరమై, ఆ పద్మ దూరమైనప్పుడు ‘విన్నవించు నా చెలికీ విరహ వేదనా’ అంటూ మేఘాలతో తన బాధలను నివేదించి, తుదకు ఇంటికి వచ్చి తనువు చాలించి ఆత్మ పద్మ వద్దకు చేరడం... భార్యను అన్యాయం చేశానన్న భావన, పద్మ పట్ల అనురక్తి... వీటిని ఆవిష్కరించటం అక్కినేనికే చెల్లింది.


 25. సీతారామయ్యగారి మనవరాలు (1991): అరవై ఏడేళ్ల వయసులో అక్కినేనికి లభించిన సహజమైన పాత్ర. కోనసీమ యాస, పల్లెటూరి పెద్దమనిషి - మానవ జీవితంలోని భావోద్వేగాలను హృదయాలకు హత్తుకునేలా  ఆవిష్కరించారు. తెలుగుతెరపై అక్కినేని నిజంగా నటసమ్రాట్.

Things take a turn for the worst when the police arrest Vikram with arson, with evidence that he had burned down a property belonging to Seema's dad, Colonel Ram Mohan Singh. Due to this, Vikram's dad comes forward to defend him, and Seema will not have anything to do with him anymore. Shyam Sunder realizes that the only way he can save his son from being imprisoned is to have him certified as insane, but will have to live with the consequences for the rest of his life, as well as the the stigma this will place on his family for years to come.

When landowner Jagannath Singh (Dilip Kumar) is murdered, his twin brother Amarnath Singh (also Dilip Kumar) decides to investigate, and finds the list of suspects is seemingly endless. From Jagannath's own son Amar (Mukul Dev), to his abused wife, Suman (Smita Jaykar), to the woman he raped, Yamini (Rekha) and her brother Kundan (Malay Chakravarty), there's a long list of wronged people with a reason to want Jagannath Singh dead.

A wealthy man named Jagannath Singh is shot dead in his own home by killer(s) unknown. Police Inspector Khan, who is assigned this case, finds out that Jagannath was shot at twice, one bullet killing him, and other embedded in the wall. Khan brings up this case before Judge Amarnath Singh, who is none other than the twin brother of the deceased. Both Khan and Amarnath ask all parties involved to gather together in Jagannath's palatial home, and there begins the investigation in his killing. The suspects include Yamini, a woman who claimed to have been molested and raped by Jagannath; her brother, Kundan; Suman, Jagannath's abused wife, and her son, Amar. Unable to bear the pressure, Amar confesses to killing his father, and is arrested by the police. Is Amar really the killer? Or was someone unknown involved in this killing? What was the relationship between the twins - Jagananth and Amarnath?

Synposis: Shankar (Mithun Chakraborty) was jailed at the age of thirteen, when he killed his uncle, who tried to sell his mother Yashoda (Nutan) to a rich and powerful man called Khan (Amrish Puri). He was imprisoned for ten years. When he comes back home, he finds his mother and sister in poor conditions. He tries to keep appropriate behavior and make amends, but all his attempts fail, as he is widely recognized as a criminal, and he joins a group of criminals, whose leader is a generous man called Malik (Sharat Saxena). His mother, who is an honest woman, refuses to accept him like this and decides she has nothing to do with him. He meets Malik's daughter Sonia (Madhuri Dixit) and the two fall in love. Malik appreciates Shankar's faithfulness and authorizes him as his principal successor. After Malik's death, Shankar takes over and gets into business terms with Khan. Shankar and Sonia get married and move into their new house. Shankar's one and only wish is to reunite with his mother, but she refuses, and requires him to leave the crime world.

The matters get complicated and Shankar loses his way. He loses his friends in endless fights with the police, and finally when Sonia finds out that she is pregnant, she leaves him and comes to live with Yashoda. Alone and neglected, he comes back home but then his previous life persecutes him. What will be his fate in life?

Alibaba, (Dharmendra) a native of Guleba is in love with Marjina (Hema Malini). The town has a ruler, Abu Hasan. Guleban is terrorized by dacoits. Ali Baba hears the password to the door of the cave of the dacoits and takes a lot of jewels from the cave. His brother is killed by the dacoits as he forgets the password and is trapped inside. A young girl whose father has been murdered by the dacoits (Zeenat Aman) has a score to settle with Abu Hasan.
