On this day of 5th September, Amitabh Bachchan pays a tribute to all the teachers with a doha by Kabir. He explains why the profession of a teacher is the best. With another exciting show to start, he welcomes 10 new contestants of the week. Shree Vatsa Krishna, an M.B.A. from Harward University, sits as the Expert for the episode. The first one to sit on Hot Seat this week is 22 year old student from Ramgarh, Jharkhand; Amrita Singh. She sets her minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.80,000. After winning Rs.10,000 she recites a poem 'Andhere Ka Deepak' written by a famous poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan who was also the father of Amitabh Bachchan. Playing superbly she wins Rs.6,40,000. Without taking any further risk, she quits and takes home the amount. Another fastest finger first brings to the Hot Seat a struggling cinematographer, Jennifer Onie Lucien. She sets her minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.1,60,000. Playing beautifully, she wins Rs.6,40,000 and on her 9th question she quits without taking any further risk and returns with Rs.6,40,000. In another Chand KBC Ke Chhand, Amitabh Bachchan in his poetic style gives some pointers about education and concludes.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC is an Indian reality/game show based on the UK game show ""Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"" The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India. The 5th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will once again be hosted by Mr Amitabh Bachchan.
