Amitabh Bachchan enters the set and sensationally introduces the a few participants sitting and waiting for their turn to reach the Hot Seat. He tells how some of the contestants who come from remote areas where education is not possible. He then reintroduces the rollover contestant, Amita Singh Tomar who won 50 Lacs in the previous episode. Amitabh Bachchan throws the question of Rs.1 Crore to Amita Singh Tomar. She sits tensed and confused and finally decides to use her lifeline, Phone-O-Friend but unable to get help she quits and takes home an amount of Rs.50,00,000.
Next one to be fortunate enough to reach Hot Seat is Shridhar Sharma from Shimla. Cricket historian, Boria Majumdar, once again sits as the Expert for the episode. Shridhar Sharma sets his minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.1,60,000. Entertaining with his unique humor and personality he manages to reach Rs.12,50,000 and quits. After him it's Anita Panwar from Hardwar to sit on the Hot Seat. She wins Rs.40,000 and before Amitabh Bachchan could read the next question the show comes to an end. Amitabh Bachchan makes fun of the ever existing inflation in India and signs off with an ironical remark.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC is an Indian reality/game show based on the UK game show ""Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"" The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India. The 5th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will once again be hosted by Mr Amitabh Bachchan.
