In the commencement of the show, Amitabh Bachchan expresses his regret that the tradition of writing letters is going to be extinct because of the advent of e-mails, sms & social networking. This 27 year old nurse from Howrah, West Bengal sets her minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.40,000 saying that she doesn't like Shrimati Tiktiki to clock over her, still she answers rapidly and reaches the safe zone. She manages to win Rs.6,40,000 before she leaves. The next participant to make it to the Hot Seat is Manisha Singh from , Padrauna, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. She sets her minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.80,000, which she earns very quickly. Before she could proceed, the time of the show runs out. Amitabh Bachchan signs-off with a Chand KBC Ke Chhand, where he sings an Aarti on increasing prices of commodities.

Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC is an Indian reality/game show based on the UK game show ""Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"" The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India. The 5th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will once again be hosted by Mr Amitabh Bachchan.
