The show starts with another meaningful opening by the best presenter, Amitabh Bachchan. He reveals the irony about Indian society where there are two types of people, one who have all the facilities and opportunities and the other who only have hope. He expresses his notion of a nation without disparities in his comments. The first contestant of the episode to make it to the Hot Seat is Rajalakshmi Kumar from Vapi, Gujarat. She sets the minimum guaranteed amount to Rs. 1, 60,000. She takes help of Expert, Ajit Ranade (Chief Economist, Aditya Birla Group) who also stays unsure, but somehow manages to answer it correctly after using another lifeline, Double Dip to answer the 7th question. After reaching Rs. 6, 40,000 she seems hesitant to take a risk and quits. After her departure, Amitabh Bachchan invites his co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone from the movie Aarakshan. They leave after entertaining for a while. Then the game proceeds with a new contestant Pradeep Mishra who is a C.I.D. Handwriting Expert from Bhopal. He answers 4 questions and the episode comes to an end. Once again Amitabh Bachchan concludes the show with his 'Chand KBC Ke Chhand' poetic lines. He recites poetry about marriages and includes himself too in it along with his wife Jaya Bachchan.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC is an Indian reality/game show based on the UK game show ""Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"" The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India. The 5th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will once again be hosted by Mr Amitabh Bachchan.
