The game show starts as Amitabh Bachchan enters the set and says that he respects KBC as a big game not because it gives big money, but because it makes people earn self respect a name for them. After welcoming the 10 new contestants of the week, he throws the question of Fastest Fingers First. 21 year old Manish Singh from Almora, Uttarakhand becomes the 1st contestant of the week to sit on the Hot Seat. He sets his minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.1,60,000. Pankaj Pachauri, Managing Editor, NDTV sits as the Expert for the episode. Magnificently playing he vacates the Hot Seat after winning 25 Lac rupees. After him, a school teacher, Shesh Nath Jha from Jharkhand reaches the Hot Seat. He sets his minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.3,20,000 and wins Rs.20,000 before the episode could come to an end. Amitabh Bachchan concludes another episode with his classy sign-off and makes everyone wait for another chapter of the show.

The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India.
