Amitabh Bachchan enters the set and thanks the people who are watching and participating in the show for taking KBC to a level it is today. KBC is a people's game show which always targets to fulfill the desires of the people watching it. The episode initiates with a new contestant Mahendra Singh Rathore from Panna, Madhya Pradesh. Plagued by a dreaded stammer and considered unfit for most of the jobs, this school teacher lost his confidence. He brings his wife as a companion to the show, whom he considers to be his lucky charm. Pankaj Pachauri, the Managing Editor of NDTV, shows his presence as the Expert for the episode. Mahendra Singh sets his minimum guaranteed amount at Rs.1,60,000. He becomes emotional after winning the amount of Rs.25,00,000 as he is not used to such happiness. And when he wins 50 Lac in the next question, he can't control his excitement and jumps off the Hot Seat and yells out loud. Then, he faces the question for 1 Crore rupees but unaware of the answer, he decides to quit and takes home the amount of Rs.50,00,000. Before moving ahead with any other contestant the time of the show comes to an end and Amitabh Bachchan signs-off once again praising the ability of the common man, giving examples of Sushil Kumar and Mahendra Singh Rathore.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC is an Indian reality/game show based on the UK game show ""Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"" The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India. The 5th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati will once again be hosted by Mr Amitabh Bachchan.
