Amitabh Bachchan initiates the episode reminding that there are only a few more episodes to go before this season of Kaun Banega Crorepati comes to a sunset. Mahendra Singh Rathore from Madhya Pradesh who won Rs.50,00,000, thanks KBC for making him regain his self confidence. Aman from Delhi tells that KBC has given him the caliber to fight his inferiority complex of coming from a slum area. Amitabh Bachchan welcomes the rollover contestant Devendra Singh from Hissar who won Rs.6,40,000 in the previous episode. He resumes the game with his 9th question for Rs.12,50,000. He uses his lifeline, Phone-O-Friend and then he uses Double Dip. Unfortunately, he falls down to Rs.20,000, his minimum guaranteed amount. The next one to sit on the Hot Seat is Anil Kumar Sinha from Patna, Bihar. He sets a new record by setting his minimum guaranteed amount at an all time high Rs.12,50,000. Filled with positivism, he wins Rs.50,00,000. Before moving ahead the time of the episode comes to an end and Amitabh Bachchan signs-off with a Chand KBC Ke Chhand where he explains the condition of love changing with the times, with the help of Bollywood songs.

The show first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This was the first appearance of Bachchan on Indian television. The show is hugely popular in India.
