Satyavati recalls Bhishma's promise. Bhagirathi blames Satyavati for the downfall of Hastinapur. Satyavati tries to prove her innocence to Bhagirathi and seeks help in rectifying her mistake. Later, Satyavati informs Bhishma that she is going with Vidura to meet Pandu and bring him back to Hastinapur. Shakuni provokes Dhritarashtra against Satyavati and Pandu. Satyavati informs Vidura that she will convince Pandu to return to Hastinapur.

Shakuni lies to Dhritarashtra that the fishermen attacked Duryodhan

Vidura informs Dhritarashtra that Duryodhan has to apologise to the fishermen for his misdeeds. Shakuni lies to Dhritarashtra that the fishermen attacked Duryodhan and wounded him. Later, Dhritarashtra becomes furious at the fishermen on learning the same and orders to kill them. On Satyavati's request Dhritarashtra changes his decision to kill the fishermen and expels them from Hastinapur. Satyavati tries to prove the fishermen's innocence to Dhritarashtra.

Gandhari gives birth to hundred baby boys. Fifteen years pass. Karna drives a chariot and wins the challenge with his excellent archery skills. Bhishma becomes delighted with Karna's chariot driving skills and awards him with hundred gold coins. Bhishma suggests Sushena to send Karna to Magadh if he is interested in archery, as only Kshatriyas are allowed to learn archery in Hastinapur and Panchal. Duryodhan decides to take revenge on a fisherman, but Shakuni stops him.
