Bhishma finds the burnt weapons of the Pandavas

Bhishma finds the burnt weapons of the Pandavas in the ruined palace. He assumes that the Pandavas are no more. He returns to Hastinapur with the burnt weapons of the Pandavas and immerses them in the holy river, Ganga. The kingdom of Hastinapur grieves over the demise of the Pandavas. Bhishma decides to punish Duryodhan for his misdeeds. Vidura tells Bhishma that he had alerted Yudhisthir about Duryodhan and Shakuni's conspiracy, and the Pandavas might be alive. Arjun suggests his brothers to disguise as Brahmins.

The Pandavas dig a tunnel to escape from the burning palace

Purochan sets up the palace on fire. Bheem suggests Arjun to use Varunastra to calm down the fire. However, Arjun suggests Yudhisthir that they can escape from the underground. While escaping, Arjun and Kunti get separated from the other Pandavas. Later, Arjun throws Kunti and asks Bheem to catch her. The Pandavas decide to wait for Arjun. However, Arjun manages to meet his brothers. The Pandavas dig a tunnel to escape. Bhishma uses Varunastra to calm down the fire, on seeing the burning palace.

On Kunti`s insistence, Arjun decides not to return to Hastinapur

Arjun learns about Duryodhan's conspiracy against them and informs about the same to Yudhishthir. Purochan's son eavesdrops on their conversation and informs Purochan. On seeing that the mouse died after eating the sweet, Yudhishthir, Arjun, Nakul and Sahdev stop Kunti from eating it. Kunti becomes sad on learning about Duryodhan's plan and informs Yudhishthir, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul and Sahdev that they will not return to Hastinapur. On Kunti's insistence, Arjun decides not to return to Hastinapur.
