బాలాజీ పూర్తిపేరు మంగు వెంకటరమణమూర్తి. స్వస్థలం విజయనగరం. వాడేకావాలి (2008) సినిమాలో ‘ఏమైందో ఏమో నాలో కొత్తగా మరి’ అనే పాట ద్వారా సినీ పరిశ్రమకు పరిచయమయ్యారు. ఆ తర్వాత ఆర్య-2, Mr. పర్‌ఫెక్ట్, కత్తి,నా ఇష్టం... సినిమాలకు పాటలు రాశారు. ఆయన రాసిన దాదాపు అన్ని పాటలు ప్రజాదరణ పొందాయి. ఆర్య-2 లో ‘ఉప్పెనంత ఈ ప్రేమకీ’ పాటకు రేడియోమిర్చి అవార్డు,Mr. పర్‌ఫెక్ట్ లో ‘డోల్ డోల్ డోల్’ పాటకు అక్కినేని అవార్డు అందుకున్నారు.
